My favorite part of the process is the carving, and I get to dive right in now. Here's the final image on the block, in reverse, of course. I changed the proportions of the piece to fit on an 8x10 block, so that the final image will fit into an 8x10 mat. I like the balance of it better.
I thought on color and decided that if I want to add color, I will add it after I print the piece.
it's cool to see the process you go through. never having been privy to how art is made before, i'm enjoying the start-to-finish aspect of your blog and your art. :) thanks for keeping a journal for we plebeians!
